Kirk Hammett, Others Join Cover Band for It’s Alive Exhibit

Metallica‘s Kirk Hammett, along with Robert Trujillo, has formed The Wedding Band. A group of rockers that will be performing an intimate concert of cover songs in conjunction with It’s Alive Exhibit.

It’s Alive is an exhibition of Hammett’s massive collection of vintage horror and sci-fi posters. The event will take place in Ontario, Canada, Friday, July 26.

The band consists of Hammett, Trujillo, Whitfield Crane of Ugly Kid Joe and Joey Castillo of Queens of the Stoned Age. The will be playing covers by AC/DC, Black Sabbath, Billy Idol and more.

Only 100 general admission tickets are available at $200. An additional 100 VIP tickets including a meet and greet with Hammett are available for $300.

In addition, five Kirk Hammett ESP signature guitars are available and will be signed by Hammett during a private pre-show meet and greet.

Guitars must be purchased in-store at Cosmo Music (not available for purchase online) between June 27 to July 26, 2019. First come first served while supplies last.

It’s Alive! Classic Horror and Sci-Fi Art from the Kirk Hammett Collection is organized by the Peabody Essex Museum, Salem, Massachusetts.
